Meet the Staff

Shannon Quante

Shannon is a registered nurse uniquely qualified to perform cosmetic procedures such as Juvederm and Restylane injections, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, botox injections, sclerotherapy, and laser hair removal.

Shannon received her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois and went on to nursing school at Lutheran General Deaconess. She spent eight years as a critical care nurse and assistant manager of the intensive care unit at Lutheran General Deaconess Hospital. In 1990 she became assistant director for a cosmetic surgery practice and developed her skills in various cosmetic procedures. Since that time she has become one of Chicago's most experienced providers of advanced skin care and facial rejuvenation. Shannon is one of the nation's first certified physician extenders which recognizes her expertise in the field of minimally invasive, office-based cosmetic procedures.

Kara

Kara is CosMedic's aesthetician and as such is an integral part of the team approach to skin care. Although surgical procedures and noninvasive procedures such as chemical peels can achieve remarkable results, it is necessary to maintain and protect your results with a healthy skin care regime. Kara is a licensed aesthetician and offers a wide range of aesthetic services.

Kate Cox

Kate has been working in the field of plastic surgery since 1996 and as Dr. Platis' patient care coordinator since 1999. These years of experience make her a perfect resource for patients. She will be with you from your initial consultation through your postoperative care and is eager to help with any questions or concerns you may have.

Kate really enjoys working with patients and guiding them in their decision to have cosmetic surgery and helping them deal with how the procedure will fit into their life and schedule. Please do not hesitate to contact her because her main concern is your happiness and satisfaction.

Lisa Madar

Lisa is the first person you will meet when you contact CosMedic Clinic. She takes pride in making sure our office runs smoothly and her main concern is that you feel welcome and comfortable when you visit us. Lisa is very organized, professional and discreet which makes her the perfect person to run our front office. She and Kate work together to make sure that all your questions are answered and to put you in touch with Shannon or Dr. Platis if there is anything they can't help you with.
